Mühlbach
The market town of Mühlbach covers the three areas of Meransen, Vals and Spinges. It only has about 2,960 inhabitants… It’s small but mighty. In summer there are a lot of trails and in winter the ski slopes lure in visitors. In addition there are a number of other activities available in this community such as watching an open-air performance, the mini golf course, the outdoor or indoor pool or taking part in the summer Fane alpine lodge festival. Young and old get their money’s worth when they come to this place. Above all, they enthuse about the delicious snacks available in the local inns.
The mere 360 inhabitants of Vals are to be mentioned again here. At 1353m above sea level this small village has a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. The highlights here include a visit to the Fane alpine meadow, which is said to be one of the most beautiful in South Tyrol. In the summer Vals is the ideal starting point for a number of walks. Taking a sandwich with you is always a good idea. However, you should also stop off in one of the lodges. All we can say is yum!
