Snowshoeing
The entire area on the ridge from Rodeneck, over the Rodenecker alpine meadow and the adjacent Lüsner alpine meadow, up to Astjoch and then to Maurerberg in the south is ready-made for snowshoeing. Especially on the Rodenecker and Lüsner alpine meadows, you’re far away from the disturbances of cars, lifts and any kind of hustle and bustle. It’s just you, your snowshoes and the silence of nature. Enjoy the glittering winter landscape and get to know this part of the world at its best.
You can start your snowshoe hike directly from our farm. If necessary, we can lend you snowshoes, free of charge. We’re happy to help you to “get on your feet” and we mean that literally… Even in the centre of the plateau you will find a variety of alpine lodges such as the Roner lodge in the north, the centrally located Starkenfeld lodge and the newly built Kreuzwiesenalm shelter in the south. Go in there to fortify yourself for the next step of your snowshoeing journey.
