The tour to Fallmetzer at 2568m altitude starts from the Altfasstal car park in Meransen, then goes to Großberghütte, continues to Asmol alpine meadow and then Weiss alpine meadow up to the final destination. The way back from Fallmetzer is the same as the route up to it. However, there is an alternative of riding down the Gitschber lift at the mountain station. The tour up to Fallmetzer takes about 3.5 hours and you climb about 970m. The beautiful glittering winter panorama of the Meransen region is waiting for you and your party at the top. The route is via Pichlerhof, the toboggan run, then following marker 12 up to Falzarer Joch and then to the final destination of Fallmetzer. You will climb 1400m in this 5 hour tour.
Klein Gitsch is always worth a visit! Start your trip from Alfasstal car park in Meransen. Other stops along this route are the Moser lodge, Klein Gitsch, Ochsenboden, the Mitterweisen slopes and Bacherhütte Möserweg. The entire course will take about two hours. By climbing 650m you will certainly be able to enjoy the many impressive wintery views.
